Why this vehicle needs the right cover
The DaShield Vanguard HD is a 4-layer breathable car cover custom-patterned to each Toyota Yaris body style and generation: XP90 3-door hatchback (148.6 in), XP90 5-door hatchback (153.5 in), XP90 sedan (166.8 in), XP130 hatchback (156.3 in), XP130 sedan (167.3 in), XP150 hatchback (157.9 in), and XP150 sedan (172.4 in).
The 13–18 inch difference between sedan and hatchback within every generation means body style selection is the most consequential fitment decision for the Yaris — one template cannot cover both correctly.
The Yaris iA (2016–2018, rebadged Mazda2) requires a separate template from the Toyota XP150 body. The 4-layer breathable construction sheds liquid water through the outer layer while venting moisture vapor outward, preventing condensation buildup during daily temperature swings in urban parking environments.
UV blocking protects clear coat during full-day outdoor exposure in city conditions where UV Index 7–11 is routine through spring and summer. Backed by a 2-Year warranty. Patterned to your exact Yaris body style, generation, and year.
Toyota Yaris cover priorities
Engineered for the Toyota Yaris
Three reasons Yaris owners choose the Vanguard HD.
Body-style-accurate pattern for sedan and hatchback. The 13–18 inch gap between the Yaris sedan and hatchback within every generation means a hatchback cover on a sedan leaves the entire trunk area outside the rear hem. DaShield maps each body style and generation combination as separate tooling. Sedan owners get a rear hem that seats at the trunk lip, not 14.5 inches forward at the hatch opening. Hatchback owners get a pattern fitted to the liftgate profile, not pulled taut across a trunk that isn't there.
UV protection for daily city parking. NOAA UV monitoring shows UV Index 7–11 sustained across Sun Belt and Pacific Coast metro areas in spring and summer — the conditions where the Yaris lives. The HD outer layer blocks UV transmission to the clear coat surface during full-day coverage. Light Yaris colors (white, silver, pale blue) accumulate UV damage invisibly before presenting widespread chalking across the hood and roof. The HD prevents that accumulation before it reaches the visible threshold.
Breathable 4-layer construction for urban temperature cycling. City parking cycles from morning shade to afternoon sun and back, creating condensation conditions that non-breathable covers trap against the paint. The HD's breathable laminate vents moisture vapor outward through the fabric, preventing the condensation cycle. The 4-layer inner cushioning buffers contact abrasion during daily installation and removal — a cover that goes on and comes off every day needs a woven inner face that doesn't abrade with each cycle.
