Warranty Coverage

At DaShield, every cover ships with a warranty that matches its engineering tier. If your cover develops a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use and proper care, we'll repair or replace it according to the schedule below.

Prorated Replacement Schedule

If a warranty claim is approved, the coverage percentage shows how much of the replacement cost we cover — you only pay the remaining balance plus a flat shipping fee. The earlier you reach out, the more we cover.

Warranty Shipping Fee

A flat shipping fee applies to replacement shipments so we can get the new cover to you quickly:

  • $25 — Contiguous United States
  • $50 — Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico

Severe Weather Damage

We understand that storms, hail, flooding, and high winds can be devastating — and sometimes your cover takes the hit for your vehicle. While severe weather damage falls outside the standard warranty, we still want to help. If the damage occurs within your warranty period, we'll offer a 50% discount on a replacement cover. Just reach out with a few photos and a description of what happened.

What's Covered

  • Defects in materials (e.g., delamination, seam separation, fabric tearing under normal use)
  • Workmanship issues (e.g., stitching failure, zipper malfunction)
  • UV degradation within the warranty period (e.g., premature fading, brittleness)

What's Not Covered

To be upfront, there are some situations the warranty doesn't cover — mostly things related to how the cover is used rather than how it's made:

  • Damage from misuse, neglect, or improper installation
  • Rips or tears caused by vehicle protrusions, antennas, or pulling the cover too tight
  • Normal wear like gradual discoloration of the outer surface — this is cosmetic and doesn't affect how the cover performs
  • Damage from covering a vehicle that hasn't been washed, is still wet, or is hot to the touch
  • Paint or clear coat issues on your vehicle (see our Paint & Surface Care tips below)
  • Severe weather damage (see above — we still offer a 50% discount)
  • Covers transferred to a different vehicle from the one originally purchased for
  • Covers purchased secondhand

How to File a Claim

  1. Make sure your cover is registered — if you haven't registered yet, we can help you do that when you reach out.
  2. Contact us at info@dashieldcover.com or call 714-589-9992.
  3. Share your order number, a few clear photos of the issue, and a brief description of what happened.
  4. Our team will review everything within 5 business days and walk you through the next steps.

We do our best to approve every legitimate claim. In some cases, we may need additional photos or information to make a decision. A replacement cover continues under the original warranty period rather than starting a new one.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the cover, or a prorated refund based on the schedule above. We are not able to cover vehicle repairs, painting costs, labor, or other incidental or consequential damages.

Paint & Surface Care

Our covers are designed for use on clean, dry vehicles. If a cover is placed over an unwashed or wet vehicle, trapped moisture, dirt, or chemical residue can sometimes cause paint hazing, dullness, or clear coat spotting. This isn't a defect in the cover — it's a result of the conditions underneath it.

The good news is that hazing or spotting is usually reversible with professional washing and polishing. If this happens to you, our support team is happy to walk you through the recommended steps.

For the best results, we recommend giving your vehicle a good wash and letting it dry completely before putting the cover on.
