Why this truck needs the right cover
The DaShield Ultimum is built for pickup trucks that park outside. Full-size, mid-size, heavy-duty — the cover is sized to your specific cab configuration and bed length, not draped over a universal template.
The outer layer is a multi-layer woven laminate. During a hail event, impact force distributes laterally across the weave structure instead of transmitting directly to the metal panel. On a flat truck bed — the largest horizontal surface on the vehicle and the one that takes perpendicular hail contact — that lateral distribution matters more than on the angled surfaces of the cab.
The interior uses a soft fleece lining so the cover does not contact bare paint. Two-way breathable laminate construction lets water vapor escape outward and blocks liquid water from entering. No moisture trapped between the cover and the bed surface after the event ends. Most sealed waterproof covers create that condensation problem. The Ultimum's woven laminate construction prevents it.
