Volkswagen Custom Fit Covers.

Air-cooled heritage and 80s camper culture — fitted to both.

Volkswagen's air-cooled van era spans four decades and two completely different bodies. The Transporter T1/T2/T3 (1950–1990) is the rounded-front, split or bay-window heritage van that defined VW's American identity. The Vanagon (1979–2003) is the boxy, taller camper that took over when the air-cooled era wound down — same DNA, very different proportions.

Universal van covers don't fit either. The Transporter's curved roof and short overhangs need a hem that follows the rocker line without bunching at the wheel arches. The Vanagon's vertical sides and pop-top roofline need a pattern cut for the higher box, not stretched flat across a sedan-shaped pattern.

DaShield's VW custom-fit covers are cut per body. Transporter covers fit T1, T2, and T3 generations (1950–1990). Vanagon covers are cut for the 1979–2003 Camper Van 3-door variant. Both run woven multi-layer fabric with fleece-lined interior.

Vanagon vs. Transporter — Which Custom Fit Cover?

Two iconic VW vans, two completely different eras of engineering. The Vanagon's boxy 80s-90s camper profile and the Transporter's wider 1950-1990 split-window heritage need patterns cut to their exact dimensions.
