Why this SUV needs the right cover
The Jeep Wrangler presents four independent fitment variables that no generic SUV cover can address simultaneously: JK (2007–2018) vs JL (2018–present) generation, soft-top vs hard-top roofline configuration, 2-door vs Unlimited 4-door overall length, and trim-level off-road equipment profile at the lower hem.
DaShield maps the JK and JL as separate body templates — the A-pillar angle, front track width, door panel contour, and front fender flare profile all changed between generations, and a JK-mapped cover leaves the JL front fenders partially uncovered.
The 2-door (approximately 153.5 in) and Unlimited 4-door (approximately 188.4 in) require separate cover lengths — a nearly 35-inch difference that no single averaged cover handles at both ends.
