The Toyota Pickup ran from 1969 through 1995 across five engineering generations — RN10, RN20, RN30/40, RN50/60, and RN85/90 — producing Regular Cab and Xtra Cab configurations with short 6-ft and long 7.5-ft bed variants. The steel panels on these trucks are now 30 to 55 years old. At that age, the first job of a cover is not rain resistance. It is moisture management.

DaShield covers for the Toyota Pickup are patterned by generation, cab configuration, and bed length. The cover that arrives is dimensioned to your specific truck — not to an averaged generic shape that splits the difference between a 1972 Regular Cab and a 1991 Xtra Cab.

The DaShield Ultimum uses a multi-layer woven outer construction that manages vapor transit actively. Water vapor generated between the cover and the panel surface escapes outward through the woven structure. Liquid water — rain, dew, morning moisture — is blocked from entering. For a Toyota Pickup in outdoor or unventilated garage storage, this distinction determines whether the cover is protecting the steel or accelerating its deterioration.

Designed in Buena Park, California. Built for the owners who know that a 30-year-old truck with healthy paint is worth more than a 30-year-old truck with a repair bill.

The DaShield Ultimum is the primary recommendation for any Toyota Pickup stored outdoors, under a carport, or in an unventilated garage where ambient humidity is not controlled.

Priority 1 — Moisture management for aged steel. The Ultimum's multi-layer woven construction creates an active vapor pathway. When overnight temperatures drop and humidity rises, the condensation cycle that forms between cover and panel can escape outward through the breathable woven structure rather than accumulating as standing liquid against 30-to-55-year-old steel. NHTSA corrosion records identify this trapped-moisture cycle as the dominant structural failure mode for stored classic pickups. The Ultimum interrupts that cycle. Sealed non-woven alternatives concentrate it.

Priority 2 — Lifetime warranty on a truck built to last. The Ultimum carries a Lifetime warranty. For a Toyota Pickup that has already survived three to five decades, a cover with a Lifetime warranty is the logically consistent choice. The Ultimum is priced at $229 for the Toyota Pickup truck configuration — one-digit fraction of a single paint correction or clear coat respray event.

Priority 3 — Generation and configuration-aware fit. A DaShield Ultimum for the Toyota Pickup is patterned to your generation, cab type (Regular Cab or Xtra Cab), and bed length (6-ft or 7.5-ft). The cover seats correctly at the cab crown, mirrors the body contour at the belt line, and reaches the rear bumper without the excess length or shortfall that produces the wind flutter and contact abrasion damage common with generic covers.

For pure indoor, climate-controlled storage, the DaShield SoftTec Satin is the recommended alternative — stretch satin construction, indoor-only, machine washable, and Lifetime warranted.
