Built to Last
Engineered for Any Condition.
From Arizona sun to Colorado hail — every DaShield cover is pressure-tested before it ships.
Why this truck needs the right cover
The Chevrolet Silverado spans five body generations and three trim classes — 1500, 2500HD, and 3500HD — each with different frame widths, fender heights, and body panel geometry. A cover that fits a 1500 Crew Cab shortbed will not seat correctly on a 2500HD Crew Cab longbed. These are separate dimensional specifications, not size variants of the same shape.
DaShield engineers Silverado covers to cab configuration and bed length together. The Silverado 1500 Regular Cab with an 8ft bed, the Double Cab with a 6.5ft bed, the Crew Cab with a 5.75ft shortbed — each receives a distinct pattern. The same logic applies across Heavy Duty: 2500HD and 3500HD trucks run a wider stance than the 1500, and their covers are patterned accordingly.
Multi-layer woven construction throughout the Ultimum and Vanguard lines. No non-woven polypropylene. No generic sizing. Fabric tested to AATCC and ISO abrasion and UV-resistance standards. Designed in Buena Park, California.
To select the correct cover, you will need: trim class (1500, 2500HD, or 3500HD), cab type (Regular, Double, or Crew), and bed length (5.75ft, 6.5ft, or 8ft). All three inputs are required.
Chevrolet Silverado 3500 cover priorities
Engineered for the Chevrolet Silverado 3500
Why DaShield fits the Silverado when generic covers do not.
Priority 1 — Trim-class and cab-by-bed patterning.
The Silverado 1500 and Heavy Duty trucks are not the same body. The 2500HD and 3500HD are wider, taller at the fender, and sit on a different frame than the 1500. DaShield maintains separate patterns for each trim class, each cab configuration, and each bed length. A 1500 Regular Cab 8ft longbed gets a different cover than a 2500HD Crew Cab 8ft longbed — because the bodies are dimensionally different. Generic Silverado covers size to one configuration and claim it fits all. It does not.
Priority 2 — Multi-layer woven construction versus non-woven alternatives.
The dominant alternative in the Silverado cover market is non-woven polypropylene — the same material used in disposable protective covers. It flexes under wind load, transmits rather than disperses hail impact, and degrades under UV exposure within one to two seasons of outdoor use. DaShield uses woven fabric throughout the Ultimum and Vanguard lines. Woven construction interlocks fibers at perpendicular axes, distributing energy laterally rather than concentrating it at the impact point. AATCC TM35 abrasion resistance and ISO 105-B02 UV-fade standards are the applicable test protocols.
Priority 3 — Ultimum for Silverados in hail-exposed states.
NOAA data places Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas in the top tier for annual hail frequency. The Silverado's wide hood, full-length cab roof, and open bed surface present maximum horizontal exposure per storm. The Ultimum's multi-layer woven structure is the correct choice for these conditions. Starting at $229 for truck configurations, with a Lifetime warranty. Designed in Buena Park, California.
Vanguard UHD ($219 truck, 5-year) and Vanguard HD ($159 truck, 2-year) cover lower-exposure and partial-shelter use cases with the same cab-by-bed fit accuracy.
