Built to Last
Engineered for Any Condition.
From Arizona sun to Colorado hail — every DaShield cover is pressure-tested before it ships.
Why this truck needs the right cover
The DaShield Ultimum is built for pickup trucks that park outside. Full-size, mid-size, heavy-duty — the cover is sized to your specific cab configuration and bed length, not draped over a universal template.
The outer layer is a multi-layer woven laminate. During a hail event, impact force distributes laterally across the weave structure instead of transmitting directly to the metal panel. On a flat truck bed — the largest horizontal surface on the vehicle and the one that takes perpendicular hail contact — that lateral distribution matters more than on the angled surfaces of the cab.
The interior uses a soft fleece lining so the cover does not contact bare paint. Two-way breathable laminate construction lets water vapor escape outward and blocks liquid water from entering. No moisture trapped between the cover and the bed surface after the event ends. Most sealed waterproof covers create that condensation problem. The Ultimum's woven laminate construction prevents it.
Warranty: Lifetime on the Ultimum. That's not a number chosen for marketing — it's a structural commitment to the fabric and construction standard we use. Select cab configuration and bed length at the vehicle selector for the cover patterned to your specific truck.

Why the Ultimum for Truck Hail Protection
Three reasons the Ultimum is the DaShield specification for trucks that park outside during storm season.
1. Woven outer layer for horizontal surface coverage. The bed is the most exposed flat panel on a full-size or heavy-duty truck during a hail event. A multi-layer woven laminate distributes impact force across the weave matrix laterally. Non-woven alternatives transmit force more directly to the metal. A generic spun-bond polyester cover slows a stone. A woven laminate distributes the load. The difference shows in dent count after a moderate event — and in the PDR bill that follows.
2. Guarantee Fit by cab and bed configuration. Universal truck covers drape over the cab and bunch at the tailgate seam. The Ultimum is dimensioned for your truck's specific cab type — Regular Cab, SuperCab, Crew Cab — and bed length. Proper fit keeps the cover seated during wind-driven storm conditions. A cover that lifts and flaps in wind provides reduced impact protection and creates paint contact risk from the cover itself during the event.
3. Lifetime warranty. The Ultimum Lite carries a 5-Year warranty. The Vanguard UHD carries a 5-Year warranty. The Ultimum carries a Lifetime warranty — the manufacturer's structural commitment that this fabric construction is designed for year-round outdoor exposure with no end date. Trucks parked outside through storm season, UV season, and winter simultaneously need the construction that matches that exposure. The Ultimum at $229.99 for a full-size truck is the DaShield specification for that use case. The UHD is the right answer for moderate outdoor exposure with lower hail frequency.
