The DaShield Vanguard UHD Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van Cover is a 5-layer outdoor UV cover engineered for the Sprinter's six distinct dimensional profiles — three wheelbases (130", 144", 170") and two roof heights (standard and high-roof). The high-roof variant adds approximately 24 inches over the standard roof, making roof height the primary fitment dimension for this vehicle, not length alone.

The Vanguard UHD's non-woven outer face blocks UV radiation across the UV-A and UV-B bands responsible for clear coat oxidation and color fading. The interior fleece lining protects painted surfaces from abrasion during installation — a critical requirement for a vehicle whose roof requires ladder access for solo cover installation. Compatible with both W906 (2007–2018) and W907/W910 (2019+) generation Sprinters in cargo, passenger, and crew van configurations.

Priced at $219 with a 5-Year Warranty, the Vanguard UHD is the primary recommendation for fleet operators parking Sprinters outdoors in sunbelt markets, camper van conversion owners storing vehicles between trips, and single-owner business operators who park outdoors daily. Care is wipe-down only — never machine wash.

Confirm your wheelbase (130", 144", or 170") and roof height (standard or high-roof) when ordering. Sprinter 1500, 2500, and 3500 variants share the same exterior dimensional profiles on matching wheelbase/roof configurations.

Why Sprinter fleet operators choose the DaShield Vanguard UHD

The Sprinter's horizontal roof is its most vulnerable surface. At approximately 90 square feet of flat painted steel or fiberglass on the 144 high-roof configuration, it is the largest continuous horizontal paint surface in any commercial fleet parking lot. In Phoenix, Las Vegas, or Dallas, that surface receives NOAA-rated "Very High" to "Extreme" UV Index radiation (UV Index 10–11) for six to eight hours per day during peak summer months. Clear coat on unprotected Sprinter roofs begins to chalk within 18 to 24 months of outdoor parking in those markets, and a full repaint on a Sprinter runs $4,000 to $8,000.

The Vanguard UHD's 5-layer construction addresses that specific problem. The outer non-woven face blocks the UV-A and UV-B bands before they contact the clear coat. The layered middle construction adds separation between the outer UV-blocking face and the inner fleece lining, so solar heat absorbed at the outer surface dissipates before reaching the vehicle's finish. The fleece interior eliminates abrasion contact between the cover and the roof surface — important for a vehicle that requires ladder-assisted installation across 90 square feet of roof panel.

The cover fits W906 (2007–2018) and W907/W910 (2019+) generation Sprinters. Specify wheelbase (130", 144", or 170") and roof height (standard or high-roof) at checkout. The 144 high-roof is the most common fleet and camper van conversion configuration — confirm the high-roof option if your vehicle has the taller profile.

For fleet operators running multiple Sprinters in a sunbelt market: ten Vanguard UHD covers at $219 each total $2,190 — compared to $40,000 to $80,000 in paint maintenance across ten vehicles over a five-year fleet cycle without protection.
